Terms of Use

By accessing or using Rollydex (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Rollydex helps you organize and share information about home-service providers you choose to record. The Service may include guest access, email accounts, sharing links, and social / follow features. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

The Service is not a referral agency, contractor marketplace, or emergency service. Listings and ratings reflect user-provided information, not our endorsement.

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and at least 13 years old (or older if your jurisdiction requires a higher age). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Guest accounts may be created automatically to reduce friction. Guest sessions can be lost if you clear cookies, use another device, or if we clean up unused anonymous accounts (see Privacy Policy). Protect important data by upgrading to a verified email account or otherwise saving it outside the Service.

Registered accounts require accurate email information where requested. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity under your account.

You agree not to: violate law or third-party rights; upload malware, probe or bypass security, or access data you are not authorized to access; harass, threaten, or abuse others; scrape the Service at scale without permission, or use the Service to build a competing database through unauthorized extraction; misrepresent your identity or your relationship to any business you list. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, and share your content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service (including showing information to people you choose to share with, or through features you enable). You represent that you have the rights to submit the content you provide.

Share links can expose limited information to anyone with the link. You control when and with whom you share links. Do not share sensitive personal data you are not willing to disclose.

The Service integrates Supabase, Google Places, and Vercel (and may add others). Their services are governed by their own terms and policies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, licensing, insurance status, or performance of any contractor or vendor you list or discover through the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF USD $50 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe it is necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. You and Rollydex agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless applicable law requires a different forum or gives you a non-waivable right (for example, some consumer rights in the EU/UK).

We may modify these Terms. We will post updates and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional steps.
